Psalm Reflection: Easter Sunday

Psalm Reflection: Easter Sunday

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.” - Psalm 118

HE IS RISEN! Happy Easter to you! What a wonderful day to celebrate and remember the gift and hope of the Resurrection! But, isn’t EVERY day a day that the Lord has made? Isn’t every day a day to celebrate that Jesus is risen? On one hand, the liturgical calendar allow us to follow the rhythms and cycles of a constantly changing and deepening relationship with God, but Easter should remind us that EVERY single day is a day that God has made and is an opportunity to rejoice.

You are alive. You are breathing. You are blessed with another day on this Earth with friends and family. This is truly a glorious day. No matter what loss, suffering, worry or anxiety is plaguing your life right now, remember that there is always hope. The Resurrection came after the Crucifixion, and so we look to each new day with joy and anticipation for whatever goodness God blesses us with. Savor and delight in every single moment, because it a blessing straight from your Heavenly Father who loves you so much, that He sent His only Son so that you might not perish, but so you might have eternal life. We are praying for you this week!

See you in the Eucharist!
